BeatWave is developed by BeatLabs. We believe that your privacy is a fundamental human right. Our application is built as an offline-first music workspace, meaning your library, cache, habits, and preferences stay exactly where they belong: on your local device.

1. Data Storage & Portability

All data generated or indexed inside BeatWave is saved locally utilizing SQLite/Room Database structures. There are zero accounts to configure and zero login identifiers. We do not maintain any cloud instances of your private library collections.

2. Zero Telemetry Policy

We do not include analytical engines, tracking SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Flurry, or Amplitude), or crash reporters that automatically upload log details. If the application crashes, the records remain strictly on device storage.

3. External Connections & Integrations

• Streaming Integration: When loading remote catalogs (such as YouTube Music streams), search requests are resolved directly through public endpoints. These queries fall under their respective terms and data collection rules.
• Listen Together: Syncing playback state with network nodes uses Network Service Discovery (mDNS). Playback actions (such as skip, play, seek) are cast peer-to-peer over the local network and never sent to cloud relays.

4. Necessary Device Permissions

To run effectively on Android platforms, the application requires local file read permissions (MediaStore access) to map your offline audio files, and local network check capabilities to facilitate device casts. You are free to grant or deny these preferences in settings at any point.

BeatWave is an open-source media player utility. You are permitted to modify, build, and adapt the software codebase under the terms of its repository license. This software is authorized exclusively for individual, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

2. Content & Legality

BeatWave acts as a modular shell player. We do not generate, host, cache, or distribute copyright-protected streaming streams. Users are strictly responsible for verifying that their streaming sources, local media files, and storage directories comply with copyright laws in their local jurisdiction.

3. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIMS, DAMAGES, SYSTEM LAGS, OR DATA DISRUPTIONS ARISING FROM THE INSTANCE OF SYSTEM RUNTIMES.

4. Intellectual Property

The name "BeatWave", visual guidelines, logos, and custom "Liquid Glass" vector styles are the property of BeatLabs. Custom forks must modify all brand assets, package tags, and names prior to any distribution channels.
